Thai Yoga
What is Thai Yoga Therapy?
Thai yoga therapy is an ancient, deeply relaxing and transformative healing art using passive flowing movements, assisted dynamic and static stretches, and pressure along the body's energy points and meridians.
The 'receiver' is completely relaxed as the 'giver' mindfully and compassionately performs the work, allowing both to embody a state of meditation.
This practice was designed to reduce stress and support the body's natural ability to physically and emotionally balance and heal itself.
Sessions are done with the client and practitioner comfortably clothed on a special mat on the floor. Ideally, one session would be no less than 90 minutes.

Compression
Thai massage utilizes compression, a distinctive technique that sets it apart from Swedish massage.
Unlike the latter, Thai massage is performed with the recipient fully clothed, it excludes the use of oils.
This approach involves rhythmic pressure on energy lines, promoting flexibility and relaxation in a unique and holistic manner.

Passive Stretching
In Thai yoga, passive stretching is a therapeutic dance of relaxation. The recipient surrenders completely while the practitioner, using their body, gently guides them into poses.
This method targets chronically tight muscles, providing a release from daily tensions. The collaborative process promotes flexibility, improved circulation, and a deep sense of rejuvenation, fostering holistic well-being through a meditative experience.
